Believing they are talking about 'bases' in alchemy, he demands to play against them. The game begins once Great Big Little Panther, the only person that both sides consider fair and trustworthy, agrees to serve as the umpire. The pirates perform their usual acts of trickery and cheating in order to wint he game. In the end, Hook succeeds in stealing all the bases but is highly disappointed when he tears them apart and learns they are worthless.
